Brand Jamaica was championed at the National Indoor Sports Centre Thursday evening at the opening of Expo Jamaica 2025. Under the theme ‘Global Partnership, Local Impact: Advancing Jamaica’s Reach’, the four-day trade show, christened the largest influential exhibition and trade show in the English-speaking Caribbean, will showcase Jamaican-made products and feature 260 exhibitors in sectors including food and beverage, fashion, technology and professional services. Hosted by the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) in partnership with Jamaica Promotions Corporation (Jampro), over 700 buyers will be participating at the event, including 352 international buyers from more than 25 countries.
In his keynote address, Prime Minister Andrew Holness heralded the entrepreneurial spirit and the resilience of Jamaican businesses in driving the country’s economic growth.
“To our manufacturers and exporters gathered here, your effort represents the heart of our economic progress. Your resilience, innovation and entrepreneurial courage have carried Brand Jamaica to every corner of the globe,” Holness said. “As prime minister, I commit to ensure that our policies and initiatives remain aligned with your ambitions, creating and enabling an environment that fosters investment, innovation and global competitiveness.”
